Joan Verbon

As Chief Operating Officer, Joan Verbon is responsible for the daily operations of Sam Schwartz. Mr. Verbon is also a member of the firm’s Board of Managers. In addition to his tasks as COO, he is responsible for business development in the transit and highway infrastructure market, with a special focus on design-build and P3 projects.

Previously, Mr. Verbon worked for GPO Group’s firms in Europe and in the US, where he served as a principal or project manager on several major transportation projects. Mr. Verbon’s infrastructure design experience spans high-speed rail, subways, and streetcars, as well as freeway and toll-road projects.

I like when teams work together and everything just clicks. I suppose that's why I like sports; I enjoy collaborating and seeing how strong leadership produces results.
