Donald Tone contributes over 25 years of diversified engineering experience in both public and private traffic and transportation markets. Mr. Tone has an established reputation for his commitment to his clients, meticulous production of technical reports and excellent communication and team-building skills. Mr. Tone has long standing collaborative relationships with many New York area public agencies including the NYC Department of Transportation, NYC Department of Design and Construction and the NYS Thruway Authority. His areas of expertise include traffic and pedestrian safety studies, streetscape studies, engineering design reports, public outreach, environmental impact studies and large scale transportation analysis.
Recent projects include a sidewalk expansion project in Queens, pedestrian safety studies in Brooklyn and Manhattan, roadway reconstruction efforts in Staten Island and traffic and transportation analysis for the New Tappan Zee Bridge EIS. In the private sector, Mr. Tone has recently provided lead traffic and transportation planning services to the United States Tennis Association in support of their Strategic Vision for the National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.
